All cruises showcase a wide variety of visual delights; take in the spectacular wilderness and scenery of the mangroves, wildlife, shipwrecks, and harbour and coastal views around the inlet entrance.
The commentary delivered by the captain is informative and entertaining, with comfortable and relaxed surroundings, and no chance of getting seasick, despite the weather. We are a calm water cruise and have covered seating over the entire back deck.
Substantial time on board is spent searching for wild estuarine crocodiles in their natural habitat and exploring the mangroves.
Sunset Cruises include a stunning sunset at the end of the tour (Weather dependant).

The iconic Lady Douglas takes you searching for estuarine crocodiles and other wildlife, on an idyllic calm water river cruise through the mangrove forests around Port Douglas.
Each cruise includes both an exploration far up Dickson Inlet and a cruise to the inlet entrance. An entertaining and informative commentary covers mangroves, crocodiles, local history of Port Douglas and all there is to know about the area.
All cruises are 1.5 hours and include a complimentary beverage from our onboard bar and a delicious box of snacks.

Lady Douglas travels several kilometers through the unspoilt mangrove channels of Dickson Inlet where you can experience and learn about the fascinating estuarine habitat.
Crocodiles are normally seen on over 90% of trips, especially in the dry season (May-Nov). Regular wildlife sightings also include; sea eagles, kites, ospreys, kingfishers, herons, waders, crabs, mud skippers, spiders and the occasion turtle.
Each river cruise passes through the scenic Port Douglas waterfront and harbour out into the mouth of the inlet showcasing stunning coastal views of the rainforest clad mountains and local islands. This is the perfect location to enjoy the sunsets on our sunset cruise.
